Site of the Week: RepeaterStore

RepeaterStore began in February 2007 after three college friends decided to start a business together. With a background in Physics from Oxford University, the three friends found that the cell phone repeater business was the one for them. RepeaterStore is now responsible for the creation of a multimillion dollar enterprise that brings the latest cell phone repeaters to market. RepearterStore has a worldwide cellular frequency database and recently opened a brand in London, UK as well.

Wi-Ex is proud to have ReapeaterStore carrying the zBoost product line and wanted to capture firsthand what the company’s experience selling zBoost has been:

1.      Why have you chosen to work with zBoost over the competitors?

We sell a wide range of Cellular Repeater products but we find the zBoost products stand out as they are stylish and low-cost, but don’t compromise on quality.

2.      When selling zBoosts, what tactics work best for you?

We find a lot of success marketing to our existing customers.  They are usually very happy with the improvement zBoost products bring to their reception and have friends or businesses that we can also help out.

3.      Do you have any funny or interesting stories related to working with zBoosts?

We had a college student who confessed to “love, love, love” zBoost after she got a unit in to her dorm room, which allowed her to stay in touch with her folks.

4.      Do you have any interesting customer stories?

We had another customer who claimed that the zBoost unit we sent him ‘saved Christmas’ for his family as he was purchasing cell phones for his kids.

5.      Anything you would like to say about being selected at Wi-Ex’s Dealer in the Spotlight:

We are happy to be selected and look forward to continue growing our relationship with Wi-Ex.  We are excited about the opportunities that lie in the future.

iPhone Saves a Life

A heroic story has risen from the efforts to rescue people after the 7.0 earthquake that hit Haiti this month. The hero in this case is the one and only iphone. Dan Woolly, an aid worker, utilized his iphone in the journey to save his own life. Dan used a medical app along with the alarm to treat his wounds and to keep himself from going into shock for over a time span of two days until rescued. With the massive amounts of relief needed at that time it is good to hear news that the technology we carry can in fact help us in a dire state. This story covered by CNN.com brings a whole new meaning to “There’s an app for that”.

New Year Resolutions

Every year thousands of people prepare to follow through with their New Year’s resolution; however most of these people give up on their goal within the first 30 days of starting it. There are numerous things that you can do to keep their goal top priority and strive to accomplish any goal.  A few tips to keeping your New Year’s Resolution this year are:

1. Set short-term goals: Try to set a few goals for each month and don’t let the big picture get you carried away. If your goal is to lose 30 pounds, try to lose 5-10 pounds in the first month.

2. Reward yourself: Once you set small short-term goals and reach them, reward yourself. Is is important to acknowledge that you have achieved a small bit of your goal.

3. Keep motivated: A great tool is to keep something near you that will continue to motivate you throughout your road of achieving your “big picture goal”. A special key chain or a motivational magnet could work, just make it personal for you.

Try these tips to help aid in your path to achieving your goal in 2010. Keep in mind these will help your goal but the power is in your hands and you are the only person that can keep your goal on track through 2010! Happy resolutions!

Last Minute Shopping

Now that we are 3 days away from Christmas, the Wi-Ex team thought we would give everyone a few last minute shopping tips to keep you sane while in the battle of the lines at the mall:

1.       Have a shopping buddy who can stand in line while you shop around and so  you can avoid the lines. Take turns with your buddy being the shopper and the space holder and the two of you will be out of the mall before you know it!

2.       Check for last minute shopping deals online. There are still a few online stores offering shipping before the 25th if you order early in the week.

3.       Try to be at the stores when they open so you can be the first in and the first out!

4.       Make lists before you head to the mall. Doing this will help you keep your sanity while facing the crowd. Sometimes with the sheer amount of people, holiday music, and heat in the malls will make you lose your cool. You’ll lose track of your list, and before you know it you’ll forget your important items.

5.       Try to pick your last minute gifts you need at a common super store, like Wal-Mart, Target or Kohl’s– Think one stop shopping!

Happy Shopping! Keep the prize in mind and get in and get out!

Site of the Week: Snapfish

Memories are one of the best gifts you can give someone.  Since Christmas is one week away I thought this favorite site of mine would be a good one to share for all you last minute shoppers.  Snapfish.com is an online digital photo site that allows you to store, print, order, and share your pictures. The first step is to set up an account and upload your pictures. Once you have created your account, you and your friends can link your accounts to exchange photos. You can also use Snapfish to keep up with your printing and have your prints shipped to you or sent to your local store that supports photo printing to pick up.

Although the aspects above make organizing and sharing photos easier, the best part is the personalized gifts you can make with Snapfish.  Snapfish has over 100 gifts that you can personalize and make your own. A few of the gifts that stood out to me were the calendar that someone could enjoy all year long, the charm bracelet with photos in the charms that would last a lifetime, and the traditional coffee mug to brighten anyone’s  morning.  To start your Snapfish account or to buy a memorable gift for a loved one go to www.snapfish.com and start your digital photo collection now!
