Las Vegas – More than 100,000 tech enthusiasts are in Las Vegas this week attending the Consumer Electronics Show. We were at the opening yesterday morning picking up the 2010 Innovations Design and Engineering Award plaque for the zBoost One and the energy and excitement was contagious. Lady Gaga was in attendance with Polaroid, Taylor Swift sang near the Sony booth and the overall atmosphere was much more upbeat than last year’s opening.
Wednesday night at The Digital Experience Press Event, the new Google phone, Nexus One was the celebrity in the room. The press was crowded outside of the door waiting for the event to begin, hoping to be one of the first to demo the Nexus One phone. When the event was over, Sharon and I talked to the Google reps and got a firsthand demo. Sharon has been in the market for a new phone and was so impressed that she almost ordered one on site. As an iPhone user, I
thought it was very nice, but I definitely would not trade my iPhone for the Nexus One.
Besides the Nexus One and the zBoost One, the other eye catching products were the
PowerMat wireless charging pads for mobile phones, the Kodak waterproof camera with video, the Wink photo printing service by Shutterfly and the large selection of artistic phone covers by Speck. See the links below for additional CES pictures and recaps from some of the top news outlets.
